the beatitudes

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inheret the earth
This is one of the beatitudes that Jesus preached on the mountainside to the crowds below.  That's also what today's blog is about.  I am going to tell you about at least three of these beatitudes, starting with the one above.  I'm not sure if I am doing this assignment correctly, because Mr. Mendenhalls instructions were a little confusing.  Blessed are the meek, Jesus said.  People who are meek are people who don't have a lot of pride.  They don't show off or anything like that and are ready to help others.  When Jesus says 'for they shall inheret the earth', I believe He is talking of the New Earth that will come after the Second Coming of Jesus.  Another beatitude Jesus taught went like:"Blessed are the poor in spirit, For they shall be comforted." When Jesus says,'Blessed are the poor in spirit,' I think he is talking about those who just have hard lives.  I don't think it just means people who are poor in money. 'For they shall be comforted', God will bring them comfort.  And one more beatitude Jesus said:"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Those who are pure in heart are people who always sought to do the right thing.  They sought to have pure thoughts and actions.  It's those people who will go to heaven to see God.  And that concludes today's blog.
