Don't Waste Your Life Ch. 8

In Chapter 8 of Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper, it talks about how we are unique of God's creation and how man is not made to be idle but to be hard workers.  At the very beginning of this chapter it talks about how the "war" that is going on between good and evil is not geographical, or not physical, but is spiritual.  Actually, the book says that the "war" is neither spatial or physical.  So that means the enemies that need to be defeated are evil sins and spirits, not people.  This makes a Christian's secular vocation (their workplace) their warzone.  So it doesn't matter where  you work but How and why.  This means that you don't have to be a missionary or a pastor to spread the word of God.  You can do it anywhere you work.  In fact, the Bible says it is God's will that we spread out and not just work among other Christians.  (1 Corinthians 7:17-24) We were placed in this world to save non-Christians, not of it.
